Weekend Joys

This weekend was a wash in the weather department but despite that fact, the Peaden house got a lot done. Stephen and I decided this year to get serious about a garden. The previous 6 years of our marriage we had planted one pepper plant or maybe tried some potatoes in a bucket, but never gave it much attention. This year we went all out. Stephen made for me a planter box 8×3x3. We had plenty of room to plant two kinds of onions, banana peppers, one tomato plant and 6 potato plants. Right now it all looks wonderful. Hopefully, I can keep everything alive. I will have to keep you guys posted on my progress.

Today we spent a good part of the afternoon in the backyard. Now that the weather is turning warmer we decided to do our backyard Spring Cleaning. The grass is cut, pine cones are picked up, the dog’s mess is being kept up with and Gillian has a wonderful big backyard to run around in. We are hoping to add a swing set to the scenery for her 2nd birthday.

As I leave the weekend for another week at work, I am satisfied. Any weekend that I come to Sunday night feeling tired but productive is one of my favorites. No time went to waste, but it wasn’t all hard work. I still have some duties to accomplish….Close Family I am almost done with your pictures. I leave you tonight with some shots of Gillian in her Easter hat. She loves wearing it.
