This was my first wedding at Double J Farms in Panama City, FL and I was so excited to see what the venue held. Candace and Tim planned their beautiful wedding with lace, flowers, boots, smores, games, candy and everything fun.
When I arrived on the day of the wedding and met all of the family it was very clean everyone loved the bride and groom and all of their 5 kids. Double J has a beautiful place for both the bride and groom to get ready so I was able to bounce back and forth between the two. Little boys were getting their bow ties on straight, sweet girls were checking their curls in the wall of mirrors, adults were running around pinning flowers, gathering last minute details…not one person was super nervous. Instead of nerves I saw smiles. With that type of energy you know this couple is loved by all.
Staring the day the guests were greeted by this beautiful entry setup.
A simple message to welcome them to the ceremony through rustic doors. Inside the barn were gorgeous and eclectic details of burlap, pewter, lace, candles, candy, flowers, straw, birdcages, vases…and on and on.The boys got ready in a perfect man cave. Look at that gorgeous light fixture above the groom. The kids – soon to be brothers and sister. Admiring the groom getting ready. I love love this picture. There is so much raw emotion one can feel when seeing yourself through a child’s eyes. The guests’ view of the ceremony site. Can you believe this lace dress. It fit perfectly and I love the little sleeves. Just adore the whole look. Candace you are a beautiful bride. The bride and groom chose their kids as their attendants. That decision alone spoke volumes to me as a photographer. It meant that above all they felt their kids were the most important people to stand next to them on this most important day. I hope these littles grow to realize how special this moment was. After the official vows the groom decided he wanted to say his own vows. It was then Candace’s turn and she turned to the crowd and said she was completely surprised by this and of course had nothing prepared. It was a sweet and special moment. We all laughed through our happy tears. Then Tim and Candace shared vows with the kids with promises to love, care and treat them special everyday. This has to be one of my favs from the day. The sky was so dramatic and it screamed black and white to me. I try with every single session to provide an art piece for my clients. I call these the fireplace canvas shots. You can picture this above a fireplace on a large canvas and the scenery as well as the people are a beautiful piece of art. Now for the party. That just looks so sticky and delicious.
