I have photographed their maternity, newborn and now baptism. To see their lives blossom in front of my camera is a true perk of the job.
Baptism is such a sweet and simple ceremony full of love and family. There are only a handful of people there and as a photographer I am in heaven watching all the interactions and moments. This little church had the most beautiful picture and stained glass windows. I was able to use all natural light during the whole ceremony. It is always my preference to try not to interrupt a moment with a flash of light. Each photographer has their own philosophy on this….for me natural light as much as possible.
Little G came in a onesie so before his baptism they slipped him into a baptism gown that had been worn by several cousins before him. Each had their name embroidered on the inside of the gown. Such a sweet tradition.
This look to daddy is priceless. And this photo, this little finger in his mouth….all of this picture makes it one of my favorites of all time. I would hang this on my own wall if that wasn’t considered weird to have someone else’s picture hanging on my wall. A little pre-baptism instruction before we began. Do you see what I mean about the windows? So beautiful. Little G wanted to help hold the book. Precious. All done and newly baptised. I love this beautiful portrait. He was ready to goof off at this point. No more smiling for the camera. “Grandpa….play with me”All done…
If you have an event you would like photographed in your child’s life contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are also offering a new brand of sessions called Day in the Life sessions where I document a half or whole day with your family. This is such a sweet style of photography. At the end of the day you will have an album full of memories that contain every member of the family at home and comfortable. Those candids you snap so often of your kids on Instagram…I know you treasure them. With me there you will be in those photos too.
