I always love being able to run up to the bride’s room and get a couple of snaps prior to the wedding. With some of these smaller beach weddings I don’t always get a chance. I think it relieves a little tension since the bride can meet me quickly and I can answer all their questions before we go down to the beach. There are certain things I always tell a bride before we go down: “Try to look up a couple of times while you are walking down the beach. It is hard to do since you are so worried about tripping on your dress”, “Keep your bouquet as low as you can so your shoulders don’t look shrugged”, “Don’t worry, I will wave and let you know when to walk”. In my head I think it helps to give the bride a couple of instructions maybe add some security to an otherwise super stressful point of the day. The anticipation can be killer.
Jennifer handled it with grace and I know making it down the aisle to Quentin was all that was on her mind. They had a very sweet ceremony and then afterwards I saw one of my favorite cloud phenomenon. I don’t have a specific name for it but a cloud bank that holds above the horizon promising an amazing sunset. The sun will drop just below the clouds right before it sets and erupt the sky in brilliant oranges and pinks. I hope I didn’t bug Jennifer and Quentin too much because I made them hang out with me until the sunset came out. It was just as beautiful as I promised. I had a hard time leaving it.
Congrats Jennifer and Quentin!
