I ♥ Faces Submission : SMILES

Every once in a while there is a category on I ♥ Faces that I think instantly “I have the perfect picture for”. SMILES has to be an easy picture to have if you are a portrait photographer right? Well yes, everyone is smiling in most of my pictures but this entry had to be extra special. I wanted a smile that was unique or taking from a different point of view. I had several ideas of what posts would be submitted …newborn smiles, wedding smiles, playing smiles…mine had to be just as sweet.  So naturally I went with my daughter’s amazing smile.

 I happened to catch this perfect smile while she was eating an ice cream cone late one night in summer. Yes the sun was still up at 7:00pm so that tells you it had to be July or so. The sky was cobalt blue and she was willing to perform.   I was laying on the ground trying to get a picture of the clouds with the sun in the frame and she popped in my camera right under the sun with this gleaming smile.  You can even see the remnants of ice cream on her lower lips.  I love summer smiles.
