Learning a New Craft

I am a skill collector. You might know one of my kind. There is no skill we will not try or craft we will shy away from. Someone else has made it then our motto is we can make it too. These individuals are often found in stores claiming I can do that.

Well skill #118……..sewing.

I have had a sewing machine since I was in college. It was my mother’s old machine. Pillows, curtains, more pillows, more curtains…anything square was about all I could sew. This past birthday I decided that there are too many cute things I could sew myself instead of buying them so I got a new machine. So far I have made a cute dress for my daughter and today I did a very simple circle skirt. I got the instructions from one of my new favorite blogs.

Here is my version of the circle skirt. So cute and sooooo easy. I still need to hem the bottom but Gilly saw it and instantly wanted to wear it. The hem will have to wait.
